I love the way street art adds colour to the city – you turn round a corner and suddenly there’s a giant bird, a face, or even a wave inspired by a 19th century Japanese wood block print . Yesterday I came across Camberwell’s Hokusai Wave, a well-known mural first painted in 1998 by Dominic Swords and recently refurbished by a group of local artists after suffering fire damage in 2012. That reminded me of other favourite pieces of street art I snapped in the last year in London so I thought I’d share them here. I notice I seem to have a predilection for faces and human figures, unsurprising given they feature so much in my work! Hope you enjoy them and perhaps come across them yourself when walking round this wonderful city.
