On your bike – oblong glass dish

This oblong decoupage dish features an original collage made with images from my collection of vintage books, cards and magazines. The image was inspired by the back of a postcard sent to a Mademoiselle Guenare in Paris some 100 years ago. The romantic motif includes a bicycle inside an ornate tea cup, a flower and a flower bud, a postage stamp, a tiny butterfly and some lovely old-fashioned script. The dish is painted, varnished, and finished with an artist’s seal on the back. It looks stunning as alternative wall art or displayed on a console table in the home or office. Would make a great present for the cyclist in your life. Can be handwashed with care.
